ABOUT US

At NewWoman Health, we provide a different approach to managing your menopause, treating your menopausal symptoms and advising you how to improve your longer-term health via a combination of medical and lifestyle interventions

New Woman Health

Before the menopause, women’s rates of heart disease, diabetes, osteoporosis (thinning bones) and dementia are lower than men’s, but after menopause, as a consequence of declining estrogen levels, these conditions become more common, and occur as, or more, frequently than in men.

Falling estrogen levels around menopause also result in vasomotor symptoms (hot flushes and sweats), mood changes, changes in fat distribution, muscle decline and skin changes.

You will receive recommendations from clinicians and other experts with experience in managing menopausal women. Our goal is to:

  • Help you understand why menopause symptoms occur and the impact of menopause on longer- term health and well being
  • Give you a tailored and personalised treatment plan based on your medical needs and lifestyle
  • Help you decide whether you would benefit from additional lifestyle support including advice on fitness, well-being, weight management, nutrition, skin health, counselling and life/work coaching – all focused specifically on supporting you through the menopause transition and beyond
Our goal is to ensure that all the women who partner with us will:

You are not alone. As a local example, in Manchester over 46% of council employees are female and over 40 years old. In a CIPD survey (2019) over 30% of women said they were unable to work because of menopausal symptoms.

Only 25% said they could tell their manager the real reason for their absence. The Council account for nearly 7% of all employment in Manchester. They implemented a new Menopause policy in March 2022. CIPD survey | Manchester Council Menopause Policy | CIPD Manchester
